Playground
Our playgrounds are used as an extension of each classroom, and daily activities are conducted outside whenever the weather permits. This outdoor space is another rich learning environment where children have plenty of time to practice their climbing skills, ride tricycles and bikes, push buggies, throw, roll, and catch balls, and engage in imaginative and creative play in the fresh air.
The playgrounds feature large areas with soft surfacing, allowing children to play safely. There are also opportunities for sensory play with compost, sand, and water. While the playgrounds are enclosed by walls and fencing for security, they also benefit from being surrounded by trees and bushes on the park side, as well as sensory gardens within the nursery grounds.
In addition to our nursery playgrounds, we also benefit from access to the nearby Keir Hardie Recreation Ground—a beautiful park with plenty of space and equipment.
